Bold in Gold - Christmas 2010 /2011 - Home Decor Color Trends


The color trends for this Christmas season leave us spoilt for choice. From soft romantic pastels to bold golden hues, to monochromatic blues and greens, color seems to be the theme for this season.

Bold in Gold:
Christmas traditionally always exudes opulence and grandeur. So for those of us who still love the traditional touch, Gold and Bronze are the colors to opt for. We all have a picture in our heads of that family room, glowing with the cosines of a warm fireplace, the Christmas tree adorned with twinkling lights and surrounded with colorful boxes of all shapes and sizes sitting invitingly under it; the table dressed up in its traditional, opulent Christmas splendor, all enveloped in that quintessential pine fragrance. The overriding colors are always essentially warm. This is one season where Gold, Bronze and the Burgundy of wine will never be considered too “over the top”. So bring out those Gold cushion covers and deck thy halls with your bronze baubles, this is definitely the season to be Bold in Gold!

Inspiring Interiors - Home of Ana Casanueva Perez

When I cam across the pictures of interior decorator Ana Casanueva Perez's home, I thought they were breath taking and I emailed her immediately and asked for permission to use these images in my blog . Full of inspiring nooks and items curated from all over the world. Her home is luxurious and full of the personality of the owner. Without saying any more I would let the images to speak for themselves.

Love the turquoise touches on this...really enhances the stones.They look almost like a basket of eggs.

Custom Order for Jeffrey from Michigen - brown and blue throw pillows


We recently did a custom order for Jeffrey from Michigan USA.
He wanted a cushion cover set for his black leather sofa set. After much deliberation we came up with these set of cushion covers in chocolate brown and shot color turquoise blue. I used a mix of fabrics. The chocolate brown was art silk; it has the same look as dupioni but is slightly less expensive. While the shot color turquoise blue was was 100% pure dupioni silk with brownish red highlights on blue fabric .The brown and blue combination is classic and elegant while the retro circle embroidery made the throw pillow covers look modern and fun.
